Palestinian journalist Jamal Rayan announced that he has temporarily stopped tweeting on his Twitter account.

Ryan wrote: “I will stop tweeting temporarily until further notice, goodbye, honorable people of the nation.”

On November 4, he published a picture of the Algerian flag in a tweet and commented on it, saying: “Because of the normalization of its neighbor (in reference to Morocco), Israel has become on its borders. Oh God, help it and make it firm on its historical positions in support of the Palestinian cause, Amen.”

And he introduced himself in the BIO feature on his account as: “The first broadcaster on Al Jazeera, and one of the opinion leaders in expressing the will and concerns of the Arab and Islamic peoples. You are the source of my strength, thank you.”

Rayan was born in the Palestinian city of Tulkarm, holds Jordanian citizenship, and is the first broadcaster to appear on the Qatari satellite channel Al-Jazeera when it was launched, and presenter of the first news bulletin on the channel in 1996.
