The office of the Sudanese Prime Minister, Abdullah Hamdouk, confirmed his return to his home, after the head of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, announced the presence of Hamdok at his home, following the army’s coup against the government.

And on its account on “Facebook”, the office said: “This evening (yesterday, Tuesday), Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdok and his wife were returned to their residence in Khartoum under heavy guard.”

He added: “The Prime Minister’s Office confirms that a number of ministers and political leaders are still under arrest in unknown locations.”
