Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan declared a state of emergency in all of Sudan, and suspended work on some articles in the constitutional document.
He also announced the dissolution of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, the dissolution of the Sudanese government, and the dismissal of governors in various parts of Sudan.
Al-Burhan affirmed his commitment to the constitutional document and the formation of a government of national competencies to run the affairs of the state until the elections scheduled for July 2023.
