Russia has lifted the ban on the entry of relatives of foreigners living in the country, which it had previously imposed as part of measures to combat the outbreak of the Corona epidemic.
The consular department of the Russian Foreign Ministry stated, on “Telegram”, that the ban, which was imposed on relatives of foreign citizens living in Russia, is no longer in effect.
The consular section clarified in its statement that “family members are spouses, parents, children, siblings, grandparents, grandmothers, grandchildren, adoptive parents and adopted children.”
The statement indicated that “the entry of these people into the territory of the Russian Federation is possible upon presentation of a document confirming the degree of relationship (marriage certificate, birth …), in addition to obtaining a visa for countries where there is no agreement on visa-free travel with Russia.
