According to news coming from Sudan, today, Thursday, that the meeting of Sudanese Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok with the Forces of Freedom and Change stressed the importance of addressing the issue of eastern Sudan.
This comes as sources revealed that the meeting that took place between the President of the Sovereign Council Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan and Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok, accompanied by the Joint Ministerial Committee, which includes Minister of Foreign Affairs Maryam Al-Sadiq and Minister of Communications Hashem Hasab Al-Rasoul, and others, did not reach clear results, according to Al-Arabiya Net.
The sources said that the meeting discussed the eastern crisis and possible solutions to it, as well as the repercussions of the closure and the recent political problems, but without results or recommendations.
The Council of Ministers had formed a committee headed by Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok, with the membership of a number of ministers, to meet with the military component to develop solutions to the eastern crisis, but the military component refused to meet with the committee yesterday, and requested to meet the Prime Minister alone.
