The Iranian embassy in Paris denied that Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh had conducted an interview with Israeli media, describing the claim that he had given an interview to the newspaper “Maariv” as “pure lies”.
Fars news agency quoted the embassy’s media advisor as saying that “the news published by the (Jerusalem Post) that the Foreign Ministry spokesman conducted an interview with the newspaper (Maariv) is a pure lie and baseless.”
He added that “Saeed Khatibzadeh did not give any interview during his stay in France, except for the French media,” stressing that “there is no value for such allegations… that the Zionist media have a precedent in publishing fabricated news, and therefore the media people do not pay attention to these false allegations. the slightest consideration.”
It is noteworthy that the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, who had recently visited Paris to participate in the Normandy Peace Forum, explained in an interview with the French newspaper “Le Monde” the red lines for Iran regarding Afghanistan, and said, “Afghanistan must be free from any extremism and not be a paradise for ISIS.”
