Lapid yesterday inaugurated the Israeli embassy in Bahrain (Anatolia)

This morning, Friday, the Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, quoted a high-ranking Israeli political source as saying that Israel and Bahrain are studying cooperation to confront what the newspaper called the danger of Iranian drones.

The newspaper pointed out that the joint statement issued by Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid with his Bahraini counterpart Abdul Latif Al-Zayani yesterday, Thursday, from a US base and in front of the US warship Pearl Harbor, was a message to Iran.

According to the newspaper, during Lapid’s visit yesterday to Bahrain, where he met with Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Bahraini government officials, they discussed ways to “ensure the security of navigation” for Bahraini ships in the Gulf, especially as “Iran is developing combat capabilities by unmanned means, and other means, which is what Everyone worries,” a political source told the Israeli newspaper, adding that “it is clear to everyone what we are preparing in this field.”

And Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid visited Bahrain yesterday, in the first official and public visit by an Israeli official since Bahrain signed a normalization agreement with Israel in September last year. Yesterday, Lapid opened the Israeli embassy in Bahrain, and the danger of flights between Israel and Bahrain was inaugurated.
