The first balloon festival in Jordan kicked off at dawn on Friday, with the participation of countries such as Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and France. It is held over 5 days in the so-called Golden Triangle area, Wadi Rum, Petra and Aqaba. The festival is being launched for the first time to promote Jordan as a tourist destination, with the participation of about 25 balloons from the participating countries. It also includes other tourist offers such as parachute jumping and balloon rides for the public, and will continue until the fifth of October.
