Startu Valley developer has revealed its next game: Chocolate Ghost. It’s a return to a new city “try a new lifestyle” game, but instead of a farm, you open a candy store that ghosts rent. Below is a great trailer.
I’m not the biggest fan of the pixel art world of Startie, but the snowy landscapes here are beautiful.
If you are a big fan of Startu Valley, it sounds familiar to you. You come to a new city, explore, talk to the townspeople, win her affection with gifts, and make chocolates to sell in your shop.
In the game’s official website, here are more details on how it differs from Eric Barron’s previous match. Basically, this is an “action-RPG compared to ghostly chocolate startup Valley.” In the video above there are animals and sticky leeches with sticks, which sometimes drop things that you can use in your work.
We see players brewing chocolate, building their own stores, buying products and inviting customers. Also, explore the ghost castle.
“In Stardio Valley, the focus has been very modest: living off the land, growing food, and connecting with the people and nature around you,” Barron writes. “However, with my next game, I wanted to explore more exciting possibilities…unusual experiences for you. This is where the magical ghost chocolate comes in.”
Like Startue, Baron or ConcernUp says it’s working on the game on its own and currently has no plans to bring in other developers. He also wrote that without a release date estimate it is “relatively early in development”.
