The UAE Ministry of Health authorized, on Monday, the emergency use of the anti-Corona vaccine, “Pfizer-Biotech”, for the age group from 5 to 11 years, according to what was reported by the Emirates News Agency, “WAM”.

And the UAE Health stated that this decision was made “based on the results of clinical studies and the strict evaluation followed by the emergency use permit and the local evaluation that complies with approved regulations and after approval by the US Food and Drug Administration.”

She added that this comes within the framework of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection’s keenness and emphasis on the importance of vaccination in the face of the “Covid-19” pandemic, and within the efforts made to expand the umbrella of the national campaign to vaccinate “Covid-19” and protect and immunize society to accelerate the recovery phase from all effects of the pandemic.

The adoption of the vaccine represents a critical stage that enhances the prevention of this age group, as the results of clinical studies indicated that the vaccine is “safe” and has actually given a “strong” immune response to children between the ages of 5 and 11 years, and this will contribute to accelerating the recovery process in the UAE and protecting society. The state’s proactive approach to support the return to normal life and concern for the health and safety of every member of society.

And the UAE Health announced the start of providing the support dose for those who received the “Pfizer-Biontech” and “Sputnik” vaccines for people with chronic diseases and at risk of complications, with medical evaluation from 18 to 49 years old, and individuals from 18 to 59 years old working in the line first defense
