Symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency affect pretty much every part of the body, and these symptoms may not be obvious and are often confused with something else.
And if you feel a strange sensation after a workout, it may indicate that your B12 levels need to be increased immediately.
The Bupa website lists signs that your B12 levels are low, including:
Feeling very tired.
Shortness of breath even after a little exercise.

Lack of appetite.
– Inflammation of the mouth and tongue.
Most people will have shortness of breath during and after exercising and doing physically exhausting things.
However, people who are deficient in vitamin B12 develop shortness of breath even after a little exercise.
According to the NHS, complications associated with a vitamin B12 deficiency are rare, with the condition being easily treated in most cases.
But in some cases, complications can occur that involve problems with movement and coordination and an increased risk of heart disease.
In addition, a B12 deficiency can sometimes lead to temporary infertility, which usually improves with proper treatment.
Without enough oxygen, patients can feel short of breath or dizzy – especially after exercise – according to dietitian Helen West.
But, there are a number of reasons people feel dizzy, so talk to a doctor to find out the underlying cause, she says.
And vitamin B12 deficiency can be caused by pernicious anemia – where the body’s immune system attacks healthy stomach cells.
You can increase vitamin B12 by eating more salmon, beef, eggs or dairy products.
