And the “Cairo 24” website indicated, according to what it obtained from documents about the same scientific research, that “it was applied in clinical trials to about 120 patients infected with the Corona virus with moderate and severe infection, using the antiviral drug Sovaldi, and its feasibility was calculated in several days of 7 to 10, where it was discovered on the seventh day that oxygen saturation improved significantly, and the study also showed positive trends regarding the effectiveness of the drug with a decrease in mortality.”

It was the death of the Egyptian journalist Wael Al-Ibrashi has sparked widespread controversy, amid accusations against those responsible for his treatment, including Dr. Sherif Abbas, the author of the study.
