The price of the Saudi riyal, against the Egyptian pound, continued to be stable today, Thursday, November 25, 2021, in commercial banks and exchange companies.

The highest price for the Saudi riyal

The average price of the Saudi riyal at the Central Bank of Egypt was about 4.17 pounds for purchase, and 4.20 pounds for sale.

According to a survey conducted by “Al-Ain News” on prices in 23 banks, the average price of the Saudi currency was about 4.14 pounds for purchase, and 4.20 pounds for sale.

The Saudi riyal recorded the highest purchase price at about 4.18 pounds in several banks, including Commercial International, Al-Ahly of Kuwait, Audi, Arab Investment, Mashreq, and the Arab International Bank.

While the highest price for selling the riyal came at about 4.21 pounds in the Housing and Development Banks, the Greek National Bank, the Arab African, and Egypt Iran for Development.

While the price of the Saudi riyal, against the Egyptian pound, at the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr (the two largest government banks), reached 4.18 pounds for purchase, and 4.19 pounds for sale.

Egypt takes over the presidency of the “COMESA”

On Tuesday, Egypt assumed the rotating presidency of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), at a summit held in Egypt.

The summit was held in the new administrative capital of Egypt, on Tuesday, under the auspices of the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, and brought together the heads of states of East and South Africa, amid pressure from some to change policies and intervene to open the borders in a way that encourages foreign investment.

In a speech before the summit, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said that his country has achieved a great leap in the fields of energy and information technology during the last period.

He pointed out that Egypt will work with all efforts with the COMESA countries to encourage trade exchange with the member states.

In his speech, Sisi added that Egypt is seeking to complete the project linking the Mediterranean Sea and Lake Victoria for trade exchange in the region.

Prices of the dollar, the euro and the sterling

The average price of the dollar at the Central Bank of Egypt stabilized at about 15.66 pounds for purchase, and 15.75 pounds for sale, yesterday.

While the average price of the European euro, at the Central Bank of Egypt, fell to about 17.54 pounds for purchase, and 17.66 pounds for sale, compared to about 17.60 pounds for purchase, and 17.72 pounds for sale, yesterday.

At the same time, the average price of the pound sterling at the Central Bank of Egypt rose to about 20.92 pounds for purchase, and 21.06 pounds for sale, compared to about 20.91 pounds for purchase, and 21.05 pounds for sale, yesterday.

Dirham and dinar rates

The average price of the UAE dirham, at the Central Bank of Egypt, settled at about 4.26 pounds for purchase, and 4.29 pounds for sale.

The average price of the Kuwaiti dinar in the Central Bank of Egypt was about 51.62 pounds for purchase, and 52.08 pounds for sale, which are the same prices as yesterday.
