DUBAI, 28th October, 2020 (WAM) — DB World, the world’s leading provider of integrated smart logistics services, has laid out plans to develop the capabilities of Emirati and international talent, including programmers, developers and engineers.

The initiative comes within the framework of the group’s comprehensive strategy aimed at deploying industry-leading technology to expand its vision of achieving a more efficient, transparent and flexible digital global trade in the post-Covid-19 phase, as the group currently relies on the skills and capabilities of more than 300 programmers, developers and engineers.

The announcement coincides with the celebration of the UAE on October 29 with programming experts under the slogan “The Emirates is programming”, which coincides with the inauguration of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, the first e-government in the region 20 years ago on 29 October 2001.

Emirates Programming Day is one of the initiatives of the National Program for Coders to build, enhance and develop the digital economy of the UAE in order to achieve national goals.
