The President of the Bar, Ragai Attia, President of the Arab Lawyers Union, gave the opening speech at the conference “The Future of the Lawyer in Egypt and the Arab World”, in celebration of the Lawyer’s Day and its annual feast, held under the auspices of the President of the Republic, welcoming the attendees.

The head of the Lawyers Syndicate said: “I am pleased to begin my speech by thanking President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi for his honor to have this celebration under his auspices. The Arabs who attended, and all the representatives of the Arab unions who traveled long distances to join us in this day.

He continued: “And thanks are due to the sons of lawyers in Egypt in their day, as this is their syndicate,” expressing his happiness with the participation of the sub-union councils, led by the head of each sub-union.

On the topic of the celebration, Attia said: “We chose the topic of the celebration to be (the future of the legal profession in Egypt and the Arab world), because this issue is very important.”

Regarding the legal profession, the head of the Lawyers Syndicate described it as a message, and said: “Why is it a message? .. Because it is similar to the message of the prophets and messengers. The entire page of the lawyer’s conscience is based on the care and fairness of others, and standing by him. And he may sacrifice his life for him, while he is heading with his speech to the platform of the judiciary entrusted with it to adjudicate every lawsuit.

And he continued: “Then it is the result of his work and effort issued by others by virtue of a judiciary that is entrusted with judging justice between people, so I am not exaggerating if I say that the legal profession is a message.”

Rajaei Attia said that he believes that issues of freedom and protection of rights are at the top of the lawyer’s priorities, and that although they have received a very large number of lawyers, the lawyers; However, it is expected and expected of it in Egypt and the Arab world to dissolve in the defense of freedoms and rights, and pointed out that the lawyer is required to confront and adopt the multiple methods by which it has come to carry out its mission.

He added, “Perhaps the first thing that will bring me to this conference is the topic (lawyer within the framework of arbitration, local, regional and international), and I am certainly happy, and I am confident that you will be pleased to talk to us on this matter, Dr. Mofeed Shehab, the former minister for 14 years, and the former president of Cairo University. and long-time president of the International Law Association.

He explained, “He will tell us about his experiences in international arbitration, to recover Egypt’s rights in Taba, and this is an issue that is important to address now, before tomorrow, because it is related to the message of the lawyer.”

The President of the Bar concluded his speech by introducing the Counselor and the Minister of Justice to deliver his speech.

The activities of the conference “The Future of the Lawyer in Egypt and the Arab World” were launched to celebrate the Lawyer’s Day and its annual day, under the patronage of the President of the Republic, and in the presence of the President of the Bar, Mr. Ragai Attia, President of the Arab Lawyers Union, and Counselor Omar Marawan, Minister of Justice, and a number of representatives of judicial bodies, and the captains Arabs, lawyers’ sheikhs, official representatives of all general associations of lawyers throughout Egypt through their elected councils in subsidiary unions, and members of the General Bar Council.

The activities of the inaugural session began at ten o’clock in the morning with the national anthem, then a welcome speech from the President of the Bar, followed by the speech of the Minister of Justice, and then the speech of Dr. Mofeed Shehab, Professor of International Law.

Conference sessions include; The morning session, during which “Arab law, renewable legal sciences and technology in the justice system” will be discussed.

In the evening session, the conference will address the “Arab lawyer and the justice and integration partners among them”, in an interview with Mr. Raja’i Attia, President of the Bar, and a number of Arab captains, provided that the President of the Bar will announce the recommendations at the conclusion of the work.
