The University of Sharjah celebrated the graduation of a number of associates from two of its professional diploma programs for the benefit of the Sharjah Education Council and the Department of Social Services in the Government of Sharjah. The Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development at the university worked on preparing and implementing these two programs.
The ceremony witnessed the graduation of the second and third batches of the Early Childhood Diploma for 30 graduates of the Sharjah Education Council, with 450 training hours of theoretical lectures, 100 hours of practical training for each diploma, and 18 graduates of the fifth batch of the Professional Diploma in Child Protection, which it implemented for the benefit of the Social Services Department. 450 training hours of theoretical lectures for each diploma and 100 hours of practical training for each diploma.
The professional diploma program aimed to familiarize the participants with the importance of child protection and their various roles in protecting it, and to enrich their knowledge of basic and modern concepts, to work in the areas concerned with community protection, specifically the areas of child protection, qualifying participants and training them on integrated protection methods, and studying and understanding the legal aspects of children’s rights, and the importance of their role In enhancing the role of their institutions in building and achieving societal security.
As for the early childhood professional diploma program, it aimed to introduce procedural models, study cases, and theoretical and practical applications that are consistent with their work requirements, to achieve the goals of the institution and enhance its role in building and achieving social security, which contributes to raising the efficiency of this institution, and achieving its supreme goal in contributing to building a conscious society. and safe.
Dr. Humaid Majul Al Nuaimi, Rector of the University, valued the extensive and profound patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, President of the University of Sharjah, and his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, President of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, and the components of his upbringing. In general, especially in childhood, which they give the utmost care and attention, through many systems, components and facilities that have become known even at the global level.
Addressing the graduates, Afaf Al-Marri, Head of the Department of Social Services in Sharjah, said, “We hope that you will protect us from exploitation, violence and abuse, and this is what is stipulated in the law issued by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, regarding those who lack social care; Therefore, we meet today, and from this place, with the fifth batch of graduates of the Professional Diploma in Child Protection, where we appreciate their efforts and unlimited giving.”
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi, President of the University of Sharjah, Afaf Al Marri, Head of the Department of Social Services in Sharjah, Dr. Saeed Musabeh Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Education Council, Muhammad Ahmed Al Mulla, Secretary General of the Council, and Dr. Radi Al Zubaidi, Director of the Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development at the University.
