Cairo – Mubasher: Minister of Trade and Industry Nevin Gamea affirmed the ministry’s keenness to enhance cooperation with all Arab investment institutions and entities and translate it into tangible productive projects that serve the interest of the Egyptian economy and contribute to creating more job opportunities and providing national goods and products with high quality and competitive prices.

Jameh indicated that the ministry provides all aspects of support to all Arab and international investment projects to start actual investments in the Egyptian market and take advantage of the huge investment opportunities available, as well as the incentive packages and programs that the state provides to investors during the current stage, according to a statement.

This came during the minister’s extensive meeting with Mohammed bin Obaid Al Mazrouei, head of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development, and his accompanying delegation, which reviewed a number of the authority’s current and future projects in Egypt.

The minister said that the institution’s expansion plans in the Egyptian market reflect its great confidence in the importance and feasibility of investing in Egypt, as it is one of the most important markets in the Middle East.

She indicated that the government welcomed the new projects that the company is considering establishing in the Egyptian market during the next stage in the fields of cheese production, manufacturing and canning of tuna, beans, vegetable and fish farming, in addition to the production of corn, soybeans, potato seeds and strategic crops, as well as logistical services.

For his part, Muhammad bin Obaid Al Mazrouei, head of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development, confirmed that Egypt is one of the main countries targeted to expand the activities and projects of the authority during the next stage, pointing out that the authority’s projects in Arab countries aim to achieve Arab food security by achieving sustainable agricultural development at home. He pointed out that the most important current investment sectors of the company include the agricultural manufacturing sector by 48%, the animal production sector by 25%, the vegetable production sector by 23%, and the services sector by 4%.

He noted that the company’s strategy for the year 2021-2025 includes expansion in a number of key production sectors, including production and industrial expansion, logistical services and agricultural sector services.
