On the other hand, Sisi said that his discussions with his Romanian counterpart revealed a congruence of visions regarding the necessity of finding a just solution to the Palestinian issue on the basis of the two-state solution and in accordance with the decisions of international legitimacy.
He added that it was agreed on the need to support the efforts of the UN envoy to resolve the Syrian crisis on the basis of the relevant UN resolutions, and also agreed to reject the attempts made by some regional parties that seek to impose a fait accompli, whether through Syrian sovereignty or forced demographic changes there.
The Egyptian president also revealed that he agreed with his Romanian counterpart on the need to cooperate to confront the phenomenon of illegal immigration and to work with the countries of the region to find solutions to the roots of this crisis, especially the settlement of existing conflicts, which is the first driver of this phenomenon, as well as the importance of sharing the burdens of this phenomenon in addition to increasing encouragement Public awareness of the ways and channels of legal immigration and the real opportunities available in this field, allowing legal immigrants to integrate and achieve the desired positive addition.
He also explained that the Egyptian-Romanian talks also dealt with means of combating the phenomenon of terrorism, the importance of drying up its sources and confronting the entities sponsoring terrorist organizations and entities.
Al-Sisi said that he reviewed with the Romanian President the steps Egypt is taking to implement the comprehensive perspective on human rights issues, leading to the launch of the National Human Rights Strategy last month in Cairo.
For his part, the Romanian president affirmed his country’s desire to expand cooperation with Egypt in various fields, especially in the fields of defense, agriculture, energy, transportation, information and communications, and others.
He noted the similarity of his country’s position with Egypt’s, and the importance of each of them in achieving regional security within their respective domains.

He noted that his country is involved in efforts to combat terrorism and the international coalition against ISIS, as well as in the Sahel region.
