An official source in the Zamalek club confirmed that the administration is currently working to settle the dues of the Portuguese club, Maritimo, amounting to one million euros.

The Portuguese club, Maritimo, is entitled to receive one million euros due to Zamalek’s failure to comply with the terms of the contract for the sale of Mohamed Ibrahim.

A source in Zamalek indicated, during Leila Koura’s statements, “The Sports Court has decided Maritimo’s eligibility to receive one million euros. This is a clause in the contract, not a new fine or penalty.”

He continued, “Zamalek is currently seeking to reach an agreement with the Portuguese club regarding the method of payment of dues and the possibility of paying in installments.”

And he continued, “Zamalek wants to reach an agreement that prevents the presence of any future fines or penalties related to this file.”

And he concluded, “There is no new fine or penalty, the matter is only acknowledging the right of the Portuguese club to request the implementation of the contract and obtain one million euros.”
