Industrial profits in China rose at the fastest pace during the month of September, despite the obstacles that led to the rise in the prices of raw materials.
Industrial profits rose 3.16% year-on-year in September, after rising 1.10% in August, the Chinese Statistics Bureau said Wednesday, according to the German News Agency.
The annual rise is largely due to the mining sector, while the energy companies recorded a decline in profits.
Industrial profits during the January-September period rose by 7.44 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 34.6 trillion yuan (992 billion dollars).
