A Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry statement said:In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and rejection of the media statements issued by the Lebanese Minister of Information towards the two sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, in which the two brotherly countries were accused of false accusations that contradict the great and appreciated role they play in supporting Yemen and its people.
The statement highlighted that Qardahi’s statements “did not reflect the true reality of the current situation in Yemen and are considered a departure from the official position of the Lebanese government and neglected the pivotal role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the Arab coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen.”
The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry stated that it summoned the Lebanese Chargé d’Affairs, Hadi Hashem, and handed him an official protest note, which included “Kuwait’s complete rejection of these statements, which contradict reality, have nothing to do with the truth, and contradict the simplest rules of interaction between countries.”
The Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati entered the line of Qardahi’s statements, and expressed his rejection of them.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, expressed his complete rejection of the statements of the Lebanese Minister of Information, George Kordahi, which he said reflect a short understanding and a superficial reading of the events in Yemen.
