Khaled Abdel Qader, a candidate for a seat on the Al-Ahly board of directors over the age within Mahmoud Al-Khatib’s list, announced that he will not continue the process of running for the elections that will take place on November 26.
Abdel Qader said that he decided to run at first, out of a desire to serve Al-Ahly, which he loves, to offer all his experiences to contribute with his colleagues to the development of the club’s activities and its various sectors, but after closing the candidacy door, he found that the candidates for membership are over the age within Mahmoud Al-Khatib’s list of eight, and that what is required according to the regulations Only seven, so he decided to apologize for not continuing to run, to remove the embarrassment from everyone and to support the unity of the class behind Mahmoud Al-Khatib and his complete list. And that he was not looking for a position, but was seeking to serve Al-Ahly, which he loves.
He added that he contacted Al-Khatib and informed him of his apology and put himself under the club’s command at any time.
He said that Captain Al-Khatib stuck to his continuation on the list to benefit from his experiences within the board of directors, but Abdel Qader reiterated that Al-Ahly’s service does not need a position, and that he will remain at the disposal of his club, and that he will support Captain Al-Khatib’s list.
He wished all his colleagues success. While he thanked the members of the General Assembly who surrounded him with great confidence and asked him to run, assuring them that the love he received will remain appreciated.
In the same context, Mahmoud Al-Khatib thanked and saluted candidate Khaled Abdel Qader. He said that he is one of the loyal sons of the club, and that he is one of the great competencies that he wished to have in the coming period, and that his apology for not continuing to run does not mean his departure from the club, but rather he will have a role through the board of directors to benefit from his diverse experiences, especially since he is not looking For a seat on the board of directors, rather, he seeks to serve Al-Ahly, then he withdraws from the position and puts aside his personal desire and leaves the opportunity for his colleagues, which is something to be credited with, setting an example and role model for all Al-Ahly youth in the coming generations.
