The World Health Organization announced today, Tuesday, that North Korea has tested the emerging coronavirus on about 42,000 people, but found no infections.
And the organization stated – in a report that the South Korean Yonhap News Agency cited excerpts from related to North Korea – that there are 678 people in Pyongyang who took a Corona virus test from October 8 to 14, but all results turned out to be negative.
The WHO report stated that among the newly tested North Koreans, 113 people contracted influenza-like illness or acute respiratory infections, while the rest were health care workers. With this test, the total number of North Koreans who underwent the test to 42,773 people.
North Korea has declared it free of the Corona virus, with a set of measures to combat the virus, including strict border controls.
