On the selection of foods during this period to prevent weight gain, the Russian nutritionist, Anton Berdov, gave a number of tips during an interview with “Sputnik”.
Where the expert called to replace unhealthy foods with similar healthy ones, for example, potato chips can be replaced with vegetable sticks with hummus, and chocolate can be replaced with fruits.
He added, “You also have to remember the need to control consumption and reduce the amount of calories you eat by 10-15% of the normal daily value, while sticking to 30% protein, 30% fat and 40% carbohydrates during this period.”
He added that during the cold weather period, our physical activity decreases, as we spend less time outdoors and our body constantly demands food, and this is normal.
