Today, Monday, the Lebanese judiciary charged 68 people, including eighteen detainees, in the case of shooting and events in the Tayouneh area a few days ago at the entrance to Beirut, which left seven dead and dozens wounded.

The Lebanese government commissioner to the military court, Judge Fadi Akiki, based the prosecution’s decision on “the defendants’ instigation of sectarian and sectarian strife, murder, attempted murder, incitement to fighting among members of the nation, and possession and use of unlicensed military weapons.”

Akiki referred the prosecution to the Acting First Military Investigative Judge, Fadi Sawan, requesting the interrogation of the detainees and the issuance of the necessary warrants against them and the rest of the defendants.

It is noteworthy that “Hezbollah” and “Amal Movement” exchanged accusations with the “Lebanese Forces” party over responsibility for these events.
