Since 2011, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has provided $250 million, as a contribution from His Highness to humanitarian and charitable efforts to provide vaccines and finance polio vaccination campaigns, especially in the two countries targeted by the initiative, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
Detailing the results of the campaign, the management of the UAE Project to Aid Pakistan indicated that the UAE campaign for polio vaccination in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has succeeded since the beginning of this year 2021 in providing 75 million and 148 thousand and 404 doses of vaccination against polio, bringing the total of the campaign provided since From 2014 to 2021, the number of 583 million and 240 thousand and 876 vaccination doses.
