The UK royal family’s website has updated the profile of Princess Beatrice’s daughter, Sienna, as she is 11th in line to the throne, according to the Daily Mail.
Last month, Beatrice, 32, and her husband, Eduardo Mapelli Mozzi, 38, announced the birth of their first child, Sienna Elizabeth, revealing that the name was a tribute to the Queen.
Although her mother is a princess, Sienna, the twelfth granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth, will not receive a royal title.
This week, the royal family’s website updated its own line for the throne, placing Siena in 11th place, below her mother, Princess Beatrice.
The change means that Princess Eugenie, Beatrice’s younger sister, 31, has moved up to twelfth in line to the throne, and her son, August Brooksbank, is now thirteenth.
Meanwhile, Prince Edward, 57, the queen’s youngest son, is now number 14 on the succession list.
Only the descendants of the Queen, through the male lineage, are automatically entitled to the title of ‘His Royal Highness’. The Queen can pass the titles on to her grandchildren if she wishes, too.
Sienna is an Italian name, probably chosen because of Eduardo’s roots, but Elizabeth is a direct homage to the British Queen, Beatrice’s grandmother.
