The Niger Football Association issued an official statement regarding the national guard team, which is preparing to play the Al-Ahly match of Egypt tomorrow, Saturday.
Al-Ahly will host its rival, the National Guard, in the second leg of the 32nd round of the African Champions League at Al-Ahly WE Al Salam Stadium.
In its statement, the union indicated that the National Guard mission received bad treatment in Cairo, and waited for 9 hours for vaccination records (against the Corona virus), before arriving at the mission’s residence hotel.

The statement was as follows:
The Niger Football Federation was alerted last night to the unorthodox behavior of the Egyptian side which poorly received our representatives from the National Guard team on their travels to Cairo, immediately, an email was sent invoking this unfortunate situation before confirmation by an official letter to the CAF General Secretary.
The Egyptians demanded the vaccination records before they confined and quarantined the delegation, and after 9 hours of waiting and meeting, our representatives were finally able to leave the airport to reach their hotel.
By the way, we must thank our diplomatic representation in Cairo who spared no effort to offer help and assistance to our ambassadors in this destabilizing attempt that was organized against the National Guard team, good luck to our representatives.”
It is noteworthy that the first leg match between Al-Ahly and the National Guard ended in a positive tie with one goal for each team.
