The National Guard Club, the champion of Niger, sent a letter to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), demanding that Al-Ahly be punished and the second leg of the 32nd round of the African Champions League be postponed for 24 hours because of what it described as “unsportsmanlike and inhuman treatment.”

And the National Guard Club said in a letter sent to the African Union today, Friday, “Al-Ahly and the airport authorities, as soon as we arrived in Cairo, received us in ambulances, to accompany us to the hospital in a quarantine, without any respect for adequate protocol.”

The club described that this behavior was aimed at demoralizing the team and physically exhausting it, after the team stayed at the airport for 9 hours, and what it described as “conditions that degrade pressure and humiliation.”

The National Guard Club demanded the imposition of penalties for what it described as “indescribable behavior”, with the match postponed from tomorrow, Saturday, to the next day, October 24.
