US stocks start trading higher, thanks to positive quarterly results

US stock indices started trading higher yesterday, as risk appetite increased thanks to positive quarterly results from Johnson & Johnson and Travelers, after major banks started the third-quarter earnings season positively last week.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 66.76 points, or 0.19 percent, to 35,325.37 points.
According to Reuters, the Standard & Poor’s 500 index started trading up 10.88 points, or 0.24 percent, to 4,497.34 points, and the Nasdaq Composite Index increased 51.32 points, or 0.34 percent, to 15,073.13 points.
