Ambassador Ayman Mosharafa, Egypt’s ambassador to Algeria, confirmed that Algerian President Abdel Majid Tebboune informed him, during his meeting on Monday with the Algerian presidency, of his visit to Egypt in the near future, recalling that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s first visit abroad was to Algeria.

In statements to the Director of the Middle East News Agency’s office in Algeria, Ambassador Mosharafa stated that there is a mutual interest between Presidents Sisi and Tebboune to strengthen bilateral relations in light of Egypt and Algeria’s standing at all Arab, African and international levels.

Mosharafa pointed out that there is a great congruence in the views between the two countries on many issues of common concern and in many international crises, including the Libyan file, as the two countries’ visions coincide in the need to preserve Libyan sovereignty, the withdrawal of all foreign forces and mercenaries, and the non-interference in internal affairs. The presidential and legislative elections were held on time.

He added that President Tebboune expressed his interest in increasing Egyptian investments in his country, as despite the increase in its annual rate this year, it has not yet reached the capabilities and capabilities of the two countries.

The Egyptian ambassador to Algeria, Ayman Mosharafa, noted that the Algerian president stressed the importance of continuing the “Egyptian-Algerian” coordination on various issues, as they are two countries with Arab and African weight.
