The Egyptian Ministry of Interior said, in a statement on its Facebook page, that the circumstances of the circulation of a video clip were revealed that 3 unknown persons riding a motorcycle with unknown number plates hijacked a mobile phone from a person in the New Mehwar area of the Marg Police Department, while he was broadcasting a live video clip. Using a mobile phone, they escaped.
The statement added: “With the examination, the victim, the user of the page referred to (resident in the Matariya Department), was reached, and by his question, he supported the above, and by intensifying investigations and tracing the itinerary of the perpetrators, and through the use of modern technologies, the perpetrators of the incident were identified, and they are 3 people with criminal information.”
The statement continued: “After legalizing the procedures, they were arrested, and by confronting them, they confessed to committing the incident by kidnapping, and they were instructed to seize the seized mobile phone, and by summoning the victim, he identified the seizures and accused them of theft.”
