Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian
In an interview with his Omani counterpart, Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian expressed concern over the intensification of violence in Afghanistan and the terrorist operations carried out by ISIS.
And the Iranian Fars news agency reported that Abdullahian stressed, during the phone call, today, Tuesday, “the importance of the position of neighboring countries in the foreign policy of the current Iranian government, and the continuation of consultations with Oman on bilateral, regional and international issues and the expansion of bilateral relations in various political and economic fields.”
Abdollahian pointed to the need to increase cooperation in all fields, stressing Tehran’s readiness to implement previous agreements and projects agreed upon between the two sides.
The two sides stressed the need to continue bilateral consultation in various regional and international fields, expressing their hope that the current stage will witness an increase in cooperation between the two countries in various sectors.
The Omani Foreign Minister renewed his invitation to his Iranian counterpart to pay an official visit to Muscat.
