The Saudi Family Affairs Council announced the holding of the Saudi Family Forum in its fourth session in conjunction with the fifth anniversary of the launch of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 under the title “The Role of the Family in the Sustainable Development System and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030” with the approval of the High Commissioner and under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Chairman of the Family Affairs Council Eng. Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi will be present in Riyadh, Hilton Granada Hotel on 24-25 October 2021 and for the first time virtual through the virtual forum platform and multiple communication channels that will allow sponsors and speakers to participate and exchange information through virtual halls.
The forum will include a dialogue session with the participation of a number of Their Excellencies the ministers, a group of experts, national leaders and regional and international organizations from around the world to discuss the most important contemporary family issues and ways to empower and protect them.
The forum will discuss three main themes, including tools to enable the family to make informed decisions in light of the current economic and social changes, the family’s responsibility towards the environment, society and the economy, the role of the family in developing human capital, and the family as the first sponsor of the cultural and national identity of young people.
In the first axis, experts will talk about the factors affecting the family’s informed decision-making and its role in the empowerment process, the legislation and policies that support the family, and the family council’s partnerships and solutions to achieve the sustainable development goals by 2030.
In its second axis, the forum discusses the social responsibility of the family as a tool for achieving sustainable development, and reviews effective international models and experiences on the role of the family in protecting the environment, the most prominent economic models for achieving sustainable development in a culture of savings and rational consumption, and the role of the family in developing human capital through talent development and facing challenges.
The third axis deals with the family, the formation of cultural identity and its role in promoting good citizenship and consolidating its values in the hearts of children. International experiences about the family as an educational institution and its role in developing talents among young people and achieving national goals will be discussed.
The importance of this annual event lies in solving the most important issues of the contemporary family, which is the basic nucleus of society, where the stability of members of the psychological and social community and their active participation in comprehensive economic development depends largely on the cohesion and interdependence of the family and the understanding of its members of their roles and responsibilities at the level of the family, society and the country, as it is the first incubator of the head Human money, as it is the unit that forms the personality of the Saudi individual, with its reinforcement of values and skills, and the development of talents among its members since the first years of human life.
On this occasion, Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri, Secretary-General of the Family Affairs Council, stated that this forum is being held for the fourth year in a row and comes in conjunction with the fifth anniversary of the launch of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. It is held with the approval of His Highness and the patronage and support of His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, and attracts a number of speakers from their Excellencies the Ministers. and experts at the local and international levels to discuss the most important issues of the family and the contemporary challenges it faces, and ways to enable it to fulfill its roles in a way that enhances its position in the process of sustainable development, noting at the same time that the Kingdom gives the family the utmost attention in all its decisions and initiatives, and appreciating the approval of the Honorable Ruler to establish This important annual forum, hoping that it achieves the goals and aspirations.
