Ambassador Salah Halima, Vice-President of the Egyptian Council for African Affairs, stressed that the relations between Egypt and Africa are multifaceted and are based on geographical and historical facts. Which constitutes a package of relations between Egypt and the African continent.
Ambassador Salah said, during a telephone conversation with the satellite channel “DMC” this evening, that there is a partnership between Egypt and Uganda in the political, economic and scientific aspects, noting that cooperation between Egypt and Uganda in the health field is one of the aspects of cooperation in the social field.
He pointed out that relations between Egypt and Africa are based on firm foundations, most notably geography and the waters of the Nile, stressing that Egypt plays a pivotal and major role in managing the Corona crisis on the African continent.
The Vice-President of the Egyptian Council for African Affairs explained that “Egypt directed investments in productive sectors in African countries to invest in the infrastructure in those countries,” declaring: “Uganda is one of the Nile Basin countries and we have historical relations with it, and there is an Egyptian interest in investing in Uganda and developing bilateral relations between the two countries.” .
He added, “There is a tendency from Egypt to hold mini-summits with African countries to make a direct and quick impact in the areas of security, political, economic and social cooperation.”
