Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN)–Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary-General of the Lebanese “Hezbollah” group, accused, on Monday, the “Lebanese Forces” party and its leader, Samir Geagea, of inciting and alarming Christians, and held them responsible for the bloody events that Lebanon witnessed last Thursday.
Nasrallah said: “The real program of the Lebanese Forces party is the civil war, because the civil war is the one that will lead to demographic changes that will crowd Christians, like previous dreams, in a specific area to establish a Christian canton and establish a Christian state and a Christian ghetto, which is dominated by the Lebanese Forces party and there is no place for anyone in it. else”.
He claimed that the Lebanese Forces party “offered their services to enter into a civil war in Lebanon with the well-known Saudi minister, Al-Sabhan,” referring to the Saudi Minister of State for Gulf Affairs Thamer Al-Sabhan, who was the Kingdom’s ambassador to Iraq and before that the Saudi military attaché in Lebanon.
Nasrallah said, alleging that al-Sabhan: “I have not heard for a while that he was arrested or detained, I am not sure, but I heard that he is now under investigation because hundreds of millions have been given to him to manage sedition projects in Lebanon and Iraq and he is looting them,” as he put it.
Nasrallah added: “The services of the civil war were offered in 2017, when former Prime Minister Saad Hariri was imprisoned, and this is known in the country. At that time, the head of the Lebanese Forces Party was the first one to come out and said that as long as he resigned, President Michel Aoun should consult and appoint a new prime minister.”
Nasrallah continued by saying, “He was in a hurry. This was the first betrayal of his ally, who got him out of prison.”
Nasrallah directed his speech to the Christians in Lebanon, saying, “Anyone who wants to present the Shiites and Muslims to you is an enemy. This is injustice, slander, and a huge mine in the country.” He added: “The biggest threat to the Christian presence in Lebanon is the Lebanese Forces party, its leader, and its regional and international allies, and the biggest threat to the security of the Christian community is this party and its leader, and review recent history.”
Nasrallah warned the Lebanese Forces Party and Geagea of the danger of dragging Lebanon into civil war. Nasrallah said: “If you want to prepare for a civil war and impose it on us, your calculations are correct.” He added, “I am obliged to reveal this number for the first time to prevent civil war and not to threaten civil war… Hezbollah’s military structure is 100,000 fighters.”
He continued by saying: “We did not prepare them for civil war, but to defend our country, liberate our land, protect our waters, oil and gas, which are being stolen before the eyes of the Lebanese, and to protect the dignity and sovereignty of our country from all aggression and terrorism, not for internal fighting, and we did not use them for internal fighting.”
Nasrallah stressed: “We are not weak, helpless or afraid, but our calculations are correct, and we have principles, goals, a cause, a message, a religion, morals, and values. Therefore, I say to the Lebanese Forces Party and its leader: Do not miscalculate, sit sane, be polite and take a lesson from all your wars and a lesson from all our wars.”
Nasrallah called on the Lebanese state and religious authorities, especially Christianity, and the Lebanese people to stand up to Geagea, whom he described as a “murderer, criminal, thug and divisive”, as he put it, in order to prevent civil war and internal fighting.
