Amer Hussein, head of the Competitions Committee of the Clubs Association, revealed that the Egyptian football summit between Zamalek and Al-Ahly will be held at Cairo Stadium, not the Air Defense.
The Club Association announced earlier today, Monday, the date of the matches for the first eight rounds of the league, with the summit being held at the Air Defense Stadium on the fifth of next November.
Amer Hussein told FilGoal.com: “What happened is a typo, the summit has been scheduled from the beginning to be held in Cairo Stadium.”
He continued, “The only match that will be held in the air defense will be Zamalek and Enppi on the 26th of this month, due to the presence of maintenance work in Cairo Stadium, the stronghold of the official White Club.”
“Accordingly, the first match in Cairo Stadium after the end of maintenance work will be the summit,” he explained.
Al-Ahly and Ismaili
On the reason for holding the Ismaili and Al-Ahly meeting in the Burj Al Arab, he said: “We did not receive the security approval to hold it in Ismailia, and therefore it will be held in the Burj Al Arab.”
Amer Hussein concluded his speech, “The meeting of Zamalek and the pioneers of the army also did not obtain security approval for its establishment in Suez, so it was transferred to Burj Al Arab as well.”
