The Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, sent a message to the Lebanese on the occasion of the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday, in which he warned against the dangers of politicization and sectarianization of major national issues. As for fighting in the street, it is acceptable and forbidden, whatever the reason, and the solution is by peaceful means, not by using unarmed weapons in the streets. Weapons are not permissible to defame each other, because this is the basis for igniting sectarian and sectarian strife that we do not allow anyone to awaken. He stressed that “we fear for coexistence, the national accord document and the constitution. These are the constants that no one seems to care about amid the fever of elections and the fever of the harbor. Who said we don’t care about justice in this crime of our time? So that people are not divided over justice, as over the political track.
As for the issue of elections, he emphasized that “it will take place, God willing, next year, and this is our hope and hope, and change is made by people by their free choice by electing those they see righteousness and honesty to take over their legislative affairs and all that serves their development and progress by presenting projects that benefit them, and the country as a whole, not on Whoever represents a group or a group or the like, and that his loyalty to the homeland and the citizen, and thus change is achieved by good choice.
