A Saudi memorizes a certificate of receiving the Corona vaccine
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made the third dose of the vaccine against the Corona virus available to some groups.
The hashtag third_dose topped the trend list on the social networking site “Twitter” in the Kingdom, in which the tweeters inquired about the categories that would receive this dose.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Health, the eligible categories are organ transplants, those with chronic kidney failure, those with chronic diseases, those over 60 years of age, and those with risky professions, including health practitioners.
Yesterday, Sunday, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Health, Muhammad Al-Abdali, explained in a press conference that the (third) booster dose had been started, and he said that the coming days would witness an expansion in giving the third dose to other segments of the beneficiaries.
The Ministry announced that the total doses of the Corona vaccine given in the Kingdom exceeded 44 million, noting that more than 21 million people received two doses of the Corona vaccine.
The ministry confirmed that studies have proven that the “Moderna” vaccine is the best vaccine to confront mutants.
Yesterday, Sunday, Saudi Arabia recorded 41 new cases of the Corona virus, bringing the total to 547,931 cases since the outbreak of the pandemic in the Kingdom.
