Omid Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, Iraq, praised the important humanitarian role of the United Arab Emirates in providing aid to the Kurdistan region of Iraq through its charitable institutions, especially the Red Crescent Authority and the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works.

In a speech during a ceremony distributing aid to school students in Erbil Governorate provided by the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, the governor praised the contributions of the United Arab Emirates to the education sector in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, praising in this regard the initiatives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President The Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, to support the educational process in the region, including the “Smart School” initiative, which has found its way to be implemented in the region.

For his part, Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Consul General of the UAE in the Kurdistan Region, congratulated the students on the occasion of the start of the new academic year, and thanked the teaching staff in the region for their important role, especially in light of the difficulties caused by the Corona pandemic in various sectors, Including the education sector.
