The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company “SEHA” has started providing seasonal influenza vaccination to community members in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in line with the campaign launched by the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, the Abu Dhabi Health Department and the Abu Dhabi Center for Public Health, under the slogan “Immunize yourself…Protect your community”, with the aim of raising Health awareness among all members of society of the importance of vaccination against seasonal influenza.
Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi, Acting Executive Director of the External Therapeutic Services, one of the facilities of the “SEHA” company, called on all members of society, especially people classified in the at-risk groups, to receive influenza vaccination to reduce the risk of acute influenza symptoms, avoid serious complications and not have to be hospitalized.
She stated that SEHA is cooperating with its partners to develop the annual campaign in order to increase the rate of obtaining influenza vaccination for all segments of society in Abu Dhabi and to make it available to all SEHA employees as well, noting that with many returning to their normal routine, caution must be exercised and the risks of viruses should be avoided. SEHA provides vaccinations to all members of society in all its health centers in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra. Vaccines are also available to companies in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain by calling 80050 or through the Seha app. SEHA provides seasonal influenza vaccination in vehicle survey centers spread across all emirates of the country, specifically for the most at-risk groups, as pregnant women who visit the center for a Covid-19 examination will receive influenza vaccination during the same visit. Influenza vaccination will also be provided during home survey visits that target the elderly and those with chronic diseases, citizens and residents, in which the medical staff of the “SEHA” company performs.
