Pharmacist Scott McDougall has revealed that vitamin C supplements are taken in some cases so as not to exacerbate vitamin B12 deficiency.

The pharmaceutical expert said that if vitamin C is taken with vitamin B12, the former can break the latter, this reduces the absorption of vitamin B12, which is dangerous if you suffer from vitamin B12 deficiency, according to what was published by the “Medical Forum” website.

The expert added that “vitamin C” supplements are worthwhile because they help the body’s tissues to grow, develop and regenerate, as well as their ability to reduce the risk of chronic diseases and heart problems and protect the cognitive functions of the brain.

The pharmacist explained the correct way to take vitamin C if it is necessary to use it with vitamin B12, which is to leave an interval of two hours between them, and therefore, “Vitamin C” will not interfere with the absorption of “vitamin B12”.
