She emphasized that the festival is of special importance; For its active role in supporting commercial opportunities for farmers and buyers, and increasing the volume of sales of dates, as well as providing an important platform for exchanging experiences and expertise.

It also contributes to shedding light on the agricultural sector in the governorate, expanding farmers’ knowledge to reach the high quality of dates that suit consumer tastes and the requirements of global markets, and raising the competitiveness of Al-Ula dates in local and international markets.

The festival is a source of attraction for tourists coming to Al-Ula and learning about its dates.

The festival includes a number of accompanying events; The most prominent of them is the exhibition that allows farmers to participate in displaying their various products, which contain the best types of AlUla dates, including Al-Berni, Al-Majdool, Sagai, and Mabroum.

The festival also displays a number of traditional handicrafts and archaeological artifacts that reflect the ancient history of the province.
