One of the biggest judo events in the world (on paper) – Grand Slam Paris – kicked off today (Saturday) and one of Israel’s representatives in the competition, Geffen Primo, secured a place on the podium when she qualified for the finals.
Primo qualified for the semifinals (weighing up to 52 kg) after two victories.
Geffen’s sister, Kerem Primo, World runner-up for the new junior, Lost in the second round (57 kg) to Frenchman Pierza Mukader. A bronze medalist from the Grand Slam Paris last year achieved an iPhone, 30 seconds within the gold score.
In the weight category up to 63 kg, Inbal Shemesh, who lost her first battle in the iPhone, competed against the Portuguese Barbara Timo, the world runner-up from two years ago.
