The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) announced the start of receiving visitors to the “Moon Inn by Misk”, the luxury camping destination and the first of its kind in Sharjah, for tourists and visitors who love desert adventures. The authority also revealed four new projects in the central and eastern regions of the Emirate of Sharjah. It is the “Jabal Resort” in the city of Khorfakkan, and two hotels, the first in the city of Kalba and the second in the city of Khorfakkan, and the fourth project is the “Al Bardi Resort” in the city of Al Dhaid.
“The Moon descended from Musk”
The “Moon Lodge by Misk” is located in the middle of the Mleiha desert and sand dunes and overlooks the fossil rocks of the Faya Mountains. It consists of 10 rooms with vaulted ceilings with a private pool, and 6 tents, 4 of which are family and two for individuals, equipped with the latest household equipment and a place for barbecue in each room and a tent. In addition to a lounge to receive guests and a common area dedicated to visitors’ activities.
The Moon Inn by Misk is part of the “Sharjah Hospitality Group” brand of Shurooq, managed by “Misk by Shaza”, which brings together a number of the finest hospitality facilities in the emirate, such as “The Kingfisher Lodge by Misk” in the city of Kalba, and the “Al Faya Inn by Shaza”. Misk” in the Mleiha area, and the “Al-Badayer Oasis from Misk” in the Al-Badayer Desert, pointing out that the inn provides its guests with various activities, including touring the Mleiha desert, exploring its treasures and visiting the Mleiha Archeology Center, as well as allowing them to participate in the activities organized by the neighboring tourist destinations.
Marwan bin Jassim Al Sarkal, CEO of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), said: “The hostel’s reception in Mleiha represents a new addition to Shurooq’s portfolio of leisure, environmental and luxury tourism projects, and a new link in the series of projects it has developed in the central region. And adjacent to the lodge, which is (the Faya lodge from Misk), the destination of Mleiha for eco-tourism and archaeology, and the Mleiha Center for Archeology.
Al Serkal explained that the “Al Jabal Resort” project, which is located on the Sweifa Beach between Khorfakkan Beach and Al Luluiya Beach on the eastern coast of the United Arab Emirates and features captivating views of the surrounding natural areas, consists of 45 eco-friendly hotel units and a royal suite with a private garden and pool, a restaurant, a gym and a resort. A health area, a children’s play area and a reception hall on the natural hills, noting that all the buildings and facilities of the project, which extends over an area of 187,000 square meters, will be linked with paths that allow guests to move around easily while ensuring an ample level of isolation and independence away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The project is to be completed in March 2022.
5 star hotel and water park
The CEO of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority, Shurooq, stated that the hotel project in the city of Khorfakkan extends over an area of 28,000 square meters, and is located opposite the port of Khorfakkan, in order to meet the needs of families, adventurers and those looking for new hotel experiences, pointing out that the project will contain 75 luxury hotel units. And shops, a restaurant, a gym, a spa, a marina and residential units, in addition to a water park, which is the first of its kind on the eastern coast of the United Arab Emirates.
Hotel project in Kalba
Regarding the new hotel project in the city of Kalba, Al Serkal indicated that the project is located in a secluded bay on the eastern coast of the emirate and on the southern coast of the country, next to the Kalba frontage project and opposite Kalba Lake and Al Alam Square. The project extends over an area of 12,500 square meters and is of a 5-star category, and consists of 80 hotel units, two restaurants, one of which is located on the roof of the hotel, a cafe in the hotel lobby, a gym, a spa, a swimming pool, and meeting rooms.
He noted that the “Al Bardi Resort” in the city of Al Dhaid is being developed by (Shurooq) in cooperation with the Environment and Natural Reserves Authority in Sharjah, as part of the “Sharjah Safari” project, which is the largest safari project in the world outside Africa, which is expected to start at the end of this year. Al Sarkal announced that Shurooq has started developing the Al Dhaid Farm project, near Al Alam Square in Al Dhaid, and it includes a petting zoo, a restroom for families and many activities, so that the authority offers a new tourism experience for families.
Kingfisher Lodge and Al-Badayer Oasis
Al-Sarkal indicated that Shurooq has begun work on expanding the “Kingfisher Inn by Misk” in the city of Kalba, and the “Badayer Oasis by Misk” in the Al-Badayer Desert, where 20 tents will be added to the “Kingfisher Inn by Misk”, varying between 4 rooms, a hall, and two rooms. lounge; And 15 tents for the “Al-Badayer Oasis by Misk”, in addition to a public outdoor swimming pool, due to the great demand that the two inns have witnessed since their opening.
