The Dubai Water Canal in Al Jaddaf region is witnessing today the launch of the Dubai Rowing Race for the local 30-foot boat, in a major marine sports event. . The marina is the latest tourist destination, in addition to its proximity to an environmental landmark, the Dubai Creek Wildlife Sanctuary.

The race is organized by the Dubai International Marine Club as part of the marine races calendar in the sports season 2021-2022, and brings together elite sailors, owners and sailors in the sport of local rowing boats from the sons of the state, residents and people of the Gulf Cooperation Council who participate through the boats of brothers from Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman, and the first half starts At 4:00 pm towards the finish line at Dubai Creek and Festival City for a distance of more than 2.3 km.


Nawakhas and sailors are awaiting the procedures for drawing the lottery to distribute the participating boats in two rounds, one of which is orange, and the other is blue. The instructions also include the participation of 9 people in each boat, including Skoni and 8 sailors (7 citizens and two residents).

The Board of Directors of the Dubai International Marine Sports Club thanked the cooperating parties in the success of the great event, led by the Dubai Media Corporation represented by the Dubai Sports Channels family, which completed its readiness to transmit the race with the touches of director Muhammad Al Ketbi and the voice of commentator Abdullah Swaidan and reporter Muhammad Mubarak.


Today’s race is one of two races in which the overall ranking points will be adopted in order to select the first to twenty place owners to participate in the most expensive championships of the local 30-foot rowing season, the Al Maktoum Cup 2021, which will be held on December 24 and this year holds the Silver Jubilee edition.
