The entertainment, cultural and knowledge events and destinations of Expo 2020 Dubai continued to attract thousands of visitors to the event site, yesterday, Friday, from all over the Emirates and from tourists from abroad, while families represented the largest proportion of the attendance.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Protection of the Rights of People of Determination, presented the White Cane March, which was organized by the Ministry of Community Development, in cooperation with the Emirates Association for the Visually Impaired, at the headquarters of Expo 2020 Dubai, coinciding with the International White Cane Day.
For his part, Malaysian Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaqoub said that his country has achieved about 6.36 billion dirhams (7.2 billion Malaysian ringgit) in potential investments and businesses within two weeks of its participation in the World Expo.
The Republic of Sierra Leone also celebrated its National Day, with a ceremony that included raising the flag on the platform of nations in Al Wasl Square, followed by speeches and a series of cultural performances, in the presence of Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone.
