The Director-General of Finance and External Payments at the Central Bank of Tunisia, Abdelkarim Lassoud, told the local radio “Shems FM”, yesterday, Friday, that the door will be opened to mobilize state resources through international cooperation.

He pointed out that there are very advanced discussions with both Saudi Arabia and the UAE in order to mobilize the state’s resources, in addition to the need to develop bilateral cooperation with Algeria.

The Tunisian official explained that Tunisia’s reaching an agreement with the International Monetary Fund is the first solution to introduce important reforms to the national economy.

He stressed that there is no room for fear over wages, indicating that the current month’s wages are available, and for the months of November and December work is underway to provide them. The government and the Central Bank are working hard to provide the needs during the remainder of the current year.
