Head of the Egyptian community in Hungary: President Sisi took Egypt out of the dark tunnel to development and prosperity

The head of the Egyptian community in Hungary, Hani Badawi, said that the Egyptians are lucky to have a leader and leader like President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, because he crossed Egypt from the dark tunnel to development and prosperity.

Badawi added – in an exclusive statement to the Middle East News Agency today, Thursday – that President Sisi enjoys wide popularity among the Egyptian communities abroad, as members of the community raised flags and chanted welcoming the president, as well as chanting patriotic songs.

He stressed that the Egyptian community is fascinated by the huge national projects carried out by President Sisi, which reflects the size of the efforts made to advance the Egyptian state.

Badawi pointed out that Egypt is Hungary’s strongest economic partner in the Middle East, as a number of memoranda of understanding were signed between the two countries during the visit in various fields, including a memorandum of understanding to encourage investment and exports, and another to enhance cooperation in space activities for peaceful purposes.

The head of the community indicated that a memorandum of understanding was signed between the two countries on cooperation in the Hungarian scholarship program from 2021 to 2023, and the cultural cooperation program from 2021 until 2024.

It is scheduled to discuss a legal memorandum to recognize certificates of vaccination against the “Corona” virus to encourage tourism movement between the two countries.

Last Monday, President Sisi arrived in the Hungarian capital, “Budapest”, to participate in the summit of the countries of the Visegrad grouping with Egypt, where the grouping includes Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland.

It is noteworthy that Egypt’s participation in the summit comes for the second time, as the first time was in 2017, to reflect the two sides’ keenness to develop relations between them, and to discuss various issues of common interest.
