Simultaneously with Maccabi Tel Aviv’s game against Villarban, three more games were played tonight (Thursday) in the fourth round of the Euroleague. In the first of them, Zenit St Petersburg defeated the collapsing Bayern Munich 71:79. Then a simply insane result was recorded, when Fenerbahce walked with 41:80 against Kazan. At the end of the evening, Yuval Sussman’s Alba Berlin and Tamir Blatt lost 80:76 to Basconia.

8, 14, 5 and 14. This is the points distribution by quarters scored by one of the weakest teams this season in the Euroleague. Fener came after an unpleasant loss to Alba Berlin, and managed to recover at the expense of the bottom team with a light home trip without too many problems, on the way to a 2: 2 balance.
At the end of the first quarter the host’s advantage was 13 points, and the gap only swelled as the game progressed. Mariel Shayok excelled with 17 points, Devin Booker added 16 and Nando de Colo 13.
